It is believed by the archeologists that the Palatine Hill (one of the Seven Hills of Rome) is very closely related with the foundation of Rome by Romulus and Remus. The Palatine Hill together with the Roman Forum beneath it, is now a large outdoor museum and can be visited on the same ticket as the Colosseum. The entrance is on Via di San Gregorio, the street just beyond the Arch of Constantine, going away from the Colosseum.
