Nestled between the Quirinal Hill and the Esquiline Hill, the Viminal Hill is the smallest of all the Seven Hills of the Rome. It might not be the most appealing from a tourist point of view, but it surely plays an important role for the tourist opening of the capital. This is where Roma Termini is located and, on top of that, it is home to the most prestigious opera house of the city, that is, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. The Baths of Diocletian are located nearby, northeast from the hill, and taking into account the short distance between the Viminal and the Quirinal Hill, one can easily consider the area a pretty compact spot where the inner attractions of each of the hills provide a rewarding tour for holidaymakers of Rome.
